To place a shared compound cell using the Compound Cell Manager

Select ( Compound Cell Manager ). The Compound Cell Manager dialog opens.
(Optional) Select a compound cell library from the Current Library option menu.
Turn on Shared.
Select a compound cell from cell list box.
Click Place. The Place Compound Cell dialog opens, with Shared preset on.
Place the compound cell using the previous procedure.
An instance of the compound cell is placed as a shared cell in the DGN file. The compound cell is shown as shared (Shrd) in the Cell Library dialog.
